  70.   2. The runtime error is GONE!  CMPMAIL kept trying to divide by 0.  This
  71.      caused a fatal error.  No more!

  73.   3. You can now adjust the file buffers for CMPMAIL.  Previously CMP needed
  74.      at least 350K to run properly.  Now by adjusting the file buffers, you can
  75.      make it work in as low as 230K.  This is done by adding another command
  76.      line paramater.  The new format is OPTIONAL.  It is implemented in the
  77.      following format:
  78.         CMPMAIL <config file> <PCBoard directory> <buffers>
  79.      Keep in mind that a smaller buffer will take quite a bit of the speed
  80.      away from CMPMAIL.  A larger buffer will make CMP wiz along.

  128.      mind that the messages are only there one time.  There is just two
  129.      indexes pointing to that paticular message in the packet.  Did this make
  130.      any sense?  It works, and I think you will all like this new feature.

  153.   1. A user can now add and drop conferences offline.  All one needs to do
  154.      is enter the message TO: CMPMAIL, and SUBJ: DROP or SUBJ: ADD.  Drop
  155.      means drop that paticular conference, and add, well you get the
  156.      picture.  Don't forget that users have the option to request files from
  157.      you.  This is done in the SUBJ: field too.  All they have to do is for
  158.      the first letter put a capitol F, and then a :.  So it is:
  159.      SUBJ: F:<filename.ext>
  160.  
  161.   2. The PCBoard callers log is now updated by CMPMAIL.  The ONLY updating
  162.      it does is to add a line telling you what conference and message number
  163.      was imported if any.  The line will be highlighted and reads EXACTLY
  164.      line PCBoard's Message Left line with a 'via CMPMAIL' appended to the
  165.      end.  Here is an example:

  169.   3. The CMPMAIL Log file was not working correctly.  I had overlooked the
  170.      fact that in a multi node system there could be A LOT of different
  171.      users in the door at the same time (Which would really mess up the
  172.      log file).  To rectify this problem the log files will be named
  173.      CMP####.LOG  ---  #### begin the node number.

  179.   1. The conference selection screen was not putting the √ in the correct
  180.      place.  I have now made the conferences that a user is not registered
  181.      in appear as <unregist>.  This fixes the problem.

  183.   2. The message pointers were being updated when one answered N or NO to
  184.      the 'Download packet? Goodbye after x-fer' prompt.  Fixed.

  186.   3. I have had a couple of you say that the dark blue (I think it looks
  187.      like purple) used thorought the CMPMAIL program was hard to see.  I
  188.      have changed the color to brown.  Tell me what you think.  Do you
  189.      have a better color?  Let me know.

  191.   4. When a user requested an U)pload of a mail packet.  It would receive
  192.      it, and then ask the user to press enter before it unpacked it.  I
  193.      have taken this out.  It will now go directly into importing the packet.

  195.   5. After much consideration, I have decided to lower the price.  Why, you
  196.      may ask...  To compete with the others.  I feel that this is the best
  197.      QWK mail door there is to offer.  $40.00 is more then resonable (I
  198.      think)...  Comments??

  200.   6. CMPMAIL now has a log file.  It is created in the CMP directory, and
  201.      is called, what else, CmpMail.Log.  It is a very minimal log in that
  202.      it just logs the user name, and what message number, and message base
  203.      he/she has imported a message to.  I don't feel that exporting is
  204.      necessary to log.  Again, tell me what you all think.

  209.   1. Message gathering was in much need of a face lift.  I think you will
  210.      find the new display much more informative, and easier to look at.

  212.   2. Added the capability to gather just your messages in the scan.  If
  213.      the user has a security level of 109 or above it will include the
  214.      messages to the SysOp also.

  216.   3. This release uses a new way to execute an external program (DSZ, and
  217.      Pkzip, and Pkunzip), I think you all will find this much better.

  223.   1. If conferences were left balnk between other conferences, ALL of the
  224.      readers that I know of would crash.  I have now made it so that if a
  225.      conference is blank, CMPMAIL will put the name '<empty>' in the space
  226.      usually taken up by the conference.  I have tried this with EZ-Reader,
  227.      and Silly Little Mail Reader, and it works just like planned.

  229.   2. When a SysOp choose L)ist users from the main meny, it would start at 0
  230.      instead of one.  Now it starts at one.

  232.   3. Now a new user will be shown a brief text, and then will be put strait
  233.      into the configure menu.  Tell me what you all think about this.  Good,
  234.      or Bad?  I like it better but . . .

  240.   1. So far, so good.  No major bugs have been reported for over a week now.
  241.      One bug that only one person noticed what that the door was getting any
  242.      message with the ` character in the status.  This (as you may or may not
  243.      know) is the PRIVATE COMMENT flag!  I have fixed this.

  245.   2. Added the feature for the SysOp to view the users of the Door.  I don't
  246.      know if any of you will find this usefull, but I sure do.

  248.   3. I am now using a different method of exiting to DOS to ZIP the messages,
  249.      and to run DSZBAT.BAT.  The new method seems to keep the SysOp, and the
  250.      users looking at just about the same screens.  Before the SysOp's side
  251.      was VERY garbled after Pkzip ran.

  253.   4. I have had a couple of requests that the file scan be a choice between
  254.      scanning A)ll File Directories, or just the U)pload Direcoty.  This
  255.      is included in this release of the code.

  257.   5. When a user chose G)oodbye after the transfer, the door was dropping
  258.      carrier, and PCBoard would log a Drop Carrier in it's log.  I have
  259.      fixed this.

  261.   6. Sometimes the last conference on the selection menu would just give
  262.      garbage.  Fixed.

  268.   1. Ok, I think I have worked out all of the bugs in the conference selection
  269.      menu.  I have not had any reports of lockups which were inevideable with
  270.      the old conferences selection screen.  Also, some cosmetic surgury was
  271.      done to CMPMAIL, some might notice, come might not.

  273.   2. In the selection screen users can choose conferences that are not listed
  274.      BUT that they are registered in.  This was putting a √ next to a random
  275.      conference when the conference selected was not on the screen.
